	tonkinson FINE ART expo 2006

		An extraordinary and very successful opening night held at all 3 art galleries in Port Elizabeth. An exhibition of over 500 oil paintings of artists who have studied under the mastership of Leonè Tonkinson. This exhibition featured a wide variety of oil painting techniques, subject matter ranging from Landscapes, Seascapes, Portraiture, Still life and Wild life. In modern, contemporary and abstract styles. Also boasted workshops in crystal, silver and studies of the old masters. The Expo 2006 -Exhibition was presented from Tuesday the 17^th of April through to the 6th May. Venue 1 Cuyler Street Gallery Venue 2 EPSAC Eastern Province Society of Art and Crafts Venue 3 Rick Becker Gallery .

				The Opera was my chosen theme for the opening night of this spring exhibition. The unveiling of a portrait of Paul Renier as Othello. Tristan and Isolda There were several painting on exhibition. One also includes Wãgner`s Faust and the Devil.

	UPINGTON AIRPORT * SOUTH AFRICA


	The unveiling of the portrait of Sir Gnl. Pierre van Ryneveld at Upington Airport in South West Africa. There were a total of 8 paintings which are now on exhibition in both the Pretoria and Johannesburg War Museums.
