welcome       and thank you for dropping in.

  • TonkinsonARTmasters is registered with the Chamber of Commerce as a Private School of Fine Art. ( KvK 08161136)
  • We are a English, as well as a Dutch speaking training facility situated in the Radio Kootwijk Kunst Centrum in the Netherlands.
  • Our Art courses are designed for all levels of Artists. Our aim is to train and prepare students for an international career in contemporary art, weather it be in drawing, painting or sculpture techniques.

  •   We are situated in the very heart of the Netherlands, in a Forest Reserve called, “De Hoge Veluwe” complete with breath taking  sand .                                         dunes-landscapes as well as forest canopybuilding A-landscapes.
  • Our premises are situated at the foot of one of the greatest monuments in the forest reserve namely, “Building A”.
  • Our premises are called “Self protrait -Tonkinson Fine Art GalleryBuilding T” and consists of 3 separate studios, complete with shower facilities, kitchen and an Art Gallery.
  • Under the direction of the South African active artist and Art Master - Leone Tonkinson.
  • TonkinsonARTmasters offers an exciting curriculum devoted to developing the Artists’ personal signature. In preparation for career opportunities as active professional Artist
  • All students are taught the classical art making techniques introduced before the Renaissance as well as those later perfected by the old Masters.
  • Students are assessed on individual progress and advanced on recommendation of the Artist Director.

  • Drawing II - Introduction to all drawing mediums
  • Griffith Discover a large variety of drawing materials and techniques, in still life, landscape and portraiture
  • Program:
  • 3 hour classes
  • Wednesdays
  • 2 - 5 pm
  • Painting i - back to basic: introduction to water colors
  • Painting iI - back to basic: introduction to acrylics
  • Painting iII  - back to basic: introduction to oil painting
  • Painting iv  - Assignments / Projects:
  • Griffith Discover a  multitude of painting techniques in the medium and subject matter of your choice
  • Program:
  • 3 hour classes
  • Thursdays
  • 2 - 5 pm
  • Sculpture  i  - back to basic:
  • Sculpture II -  Making 3D works in a wide variety of mediums.  Discover a multitude of sculpture techniques.
  • Griffith Draw, design and create your own concepts through to completion,  castings and finishes.

  • 3 hour classes
  • Thursdays
  • 2 - 5 pm
  • TonkinsonARTmaster aids all it’s students in presenting their work to the public. This year the school have chosen the following international exhibition to maximize the students international exposure and meet other Artists from all around the world.
