The curriculum at TonkinsonARTmasters is of a high standard. It is unique in that it trains artists to be self-directed contemporary visual artists and designers.

Students work closely with their tutors who themselves are professional contemporary artists (faculty to student ratio is 1:8).

Students develop personal voice and vision in the art studio school while being well disciplined in Art History and academic workshops. Its educational experiences prepares students for the best in life and career choices.

Dear Artists,

Together we will discover the artist in you as well as teach you many new and unknown art techniques as well as how to get the best out of the mediums you preferred.

Our drawing tutor assists all artists with drawing skills and introductions to new mediums. We have 3 tutors for painting and another for sculpture techniques.

Our tutors are all active contemporary artists who accommodate courses and workshops to all levels of artists from realism through to abstract art making.

We also offer tuition in the Art gallery - so that you can prepare for theme exhibits, and obtain experience in attending international competitions and expo’s.

The purpose of the TAM Gallery is to teach you all about costing and marketing of the art you make or to give you the right information for market.

All levels of artists are welcome, from the absolute novice right through to the advanced artist.

Leone Tonkinson is a professional artist who specializes in training artists to prepare good body of work with the quality that is required to meet the highest standards in international competitions. A great deal of her time with you is focused on developing your very own personal signature, in the direction that best suits your style.

TonkinsonARTmasters, is all about supporting the artist so please do pop in and come and see us - Classes run from 14:00 to 21:00.

• TonkinsonARTmasters is registered with the Chamber of Commerce as a Private School of Fine Art. ( KvK 08161136)

• We are a English, as well as a Dutch speaking art training facility situated in Radio Kootwijk Kunst Centrum in the Netherlands.

• Our Art courses are fun and are designed to offer all levels of Artists an educational experiences which prepares them, for the best in life and career choices.

• We offer the absolute novice, as well as the professional Artists a unique environment, situated in the very heart of the Netherlands, in a Forest Reserve called, “De Hoge Veluwe” complete with breath taking  prairies, sand dunes,                landscapes as well as under the forest canopy.
• Our premises are situated at the foot of one of the greatest national Dutch monuments namely, “Building A”, a mere 20 minutes from the city Apeldoorn, in the heart of the Netherlands (also known as Holland).

• Our premises are called “Building T” and consists of 4 separate studios, complete with shower facilities, tea room, kitchen and Art Gallery.

• Under the direction of the South African active artist and Art Master - Leone Tonkinson.

• All students are taught the history of art and artists, the classical art making techniques introduced before the Renaissance as well as those techniques later perfected by the old Masters.

• Training takes place in preparation for our theme exhibits.
• Our gallery tutor will offer you a wealth of advice and support for international competitions and expo’s.
• The purpose of the TAM Gallery is also to offer the artists the right information on value of art and market oneself.
• The gallery is open to the public on Monday & Tuesday , Thursday & Friday.
